Gillett Public Library will host its first movie night on Friday, September 10 at 5:30 pm in the Gillett Library Community Center. The Neverending Story (PG/1984) is the story of a young boy named Bastian who finds a mystical book and soon discovers he has a strong link to the fictional Fantasia. Follow the young warrior Atreyu as he searches for a cure for the Empress' illness. Who can save Fantasia before the Nothing consumes the world? Popcorn and drinks will be served. Donations welcome. THIS EVENT IS FREE!
We’re pleased to announce a special visitor to our summer reading program. Local author, Daynah Richert, will be visiting our outdoor pavilion to host a gardening activity and will be reading her book titled A Heart Full of Manners.
Daynah currently lives with her husband Jeremy and their two-year-old son near Pulaski, WI. The idea for Daynah’s book started as a list of what was important for her and Jeremy to instill in their young son and grew into a full-fledged book over the course of a few months. Daynah’s book is published with a Wisconsin based publisher, Orange Hat Publishing, and available for purchase on sites such as Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and more.
Fridays from 10:30-11:30 am

Exercise your brain and your body at the same time. No child left inside!
Can you exercise and read with your family at the same time? Thanks to StoryWalk®, the answer is a definite yes. It was Anne Ferguson from the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Vermont, which brainstormed this idea that has taken off in towns throughout the country - including here in our hometown of Gillett.
The StoryWalk is set up in our Community Square. Stop by often to enjoy this outdoor space and read a story while you're there!
