Exercise your brain and your body at the same time. No child left inside!

Can you exercise and read with your family at the same time? Thanks to StoryWalk®, the answer is a definite yes. It was Anne Ferguson from the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Vermont, which brainstormed this idea that has taken off in towns throughout the country - including here in our hometown of Gillett.

The StoryWalk is set up in our Community Square. Stop by often to enjoy this outdoor space and read a story while you're there!

Shannon Nichola Stoner is the new director of the Gillett Public Library. She moved to Gillett, Wisconsin in 2006 from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She has a master's degree in English from Arcadia University.

Shannon is a published author of three books: The Rise of Sekhmet, The Circlet of Isis, and The Scepter of Osiris. Her hobbies include writing, playing video games, reading, painting, and drawing. She loves spending time with her three cats: Abby, Kesia Rose, and Asharra. She has also published several poems throughout high school.
